Thank-you

12th February 2015

I am extremely humbled to be returning to work this month, following the recent state election, as the Member for Nanango. I would like to thank you for putting your faith in me for a second term and I'm looking forward to working even harder to make the Nanango Electorate an even greater place for our families to live, work and raise a family.

It’s very important for me to pass on a special thank-you to all the people who volunteered their time to support my campaign during the election. Through long hot days, so many people assisted at pre-poll, put up signs and helped on election day itself, and I can’t thank them enough.

I am extremely proud that this was the only LNP electorate to experience an upwards swing in voter support.

But I won’t be resting on my laurels. I’m looking forward to getting back to Parliament and joining with my colleagues, including newly elected leaders, Lawrence Springborg and John-Paul Langbroek to be a part of a competent, experienced and stable voice for Queensland and our local community.

Locally, I’m straight back into continuing my work with all the communities around the Nanango Electorate. In particular, I’d love to hear from as many community groups as possible to find out more about local events and the assistance I can offer. As always, I am keen to hear about any State issues which need to be brought to my attention.

One of my first jobs since being back on the job is to congratulate our new school leaders for 2015. It’s been a pleasure to attend the eadership ceremonies and see so many eager young faces ready for a new school year.

Once again, thank-you so much for putting your faith in me to continue as your local State member.
