Labor’s education failures have left teachers unsupported

28th April 2024

The Palaszczuk-Miles Government has failed to listen to Queenslanders and failed to listen to teachers.

Labor’s inexcusable failure to develop and implement a comprehensive education workforce plan means that many of our hardworking teaching staff face unsustainable workloads.

It’s no wonder teachers are frustrated and leaving in droves.

Not only has Labor failed to deliver the teachers they promised Queenslanders at the 2020 election, they have no credible plan to deliver the teachers we need for our growing population.

Escalating violence in our schools has also left teachers and students unsafe.

Teachers expect to be safe, resourced and supported by Government.

Unfortunately, that isn’t happening under the Palaszczuk-Miles Government.

Education is in chaos and crisis under Labor.

It is little wonder why we are heading towards targeted industrial action, with the QTU’s consideration of workforce bans.

Only the LNP has the Right Priorities for Queensland’s future, including boosting student-to-teacher ratios in schools and cracking-down on violence
